Description:
To enhance its retail presence while preserving the now cult-like "cool factor" of the brand, Flip Video partnered with Lunchbox to create a microsite within Walmart.com to promote sales of their complete line of Flip cameras. The challenge, as with most technology products, was to communicate product information and ease of use in a fun, simple way that would appeal to the Walmart mom. The site highlighted the main features of four cameras and FlipShareTV, which allows customers to watch videos that were shot with each Flip , inviting them to explore in an interactive, educational area. The strategy was to highlight the sharing capabilities and appeal to mom in a way that made the cameras feel unintimidating, while still retaining the edginess of the brand.
